Whether it's your first time in front of a sewing machine or your 50th year in the hobby, we have a class for you. Our friends come from all over Atlanta and Georgia to learn how to master the basics, work with different fabric and patterns, and enjoy a good chat session.
Here are some things you can learn in our classes:
- How to sew basic and advanced stitches
- Embroidery and decorative stitching for a quilt or garment
- How to read and follow a pattern from start to finish
- Using different materials in quilts and clothing
- Getting the most out of your notions and accessories
Learning more about quilting is really fun in a class environment. Beginners can learn from those who have been threading needles for many years. We love sharing knowledge and tips to help everyone enjoy quilting even more.
Friendly Instructors and Members
Our groups love to come together to help everyone finish a project. We even have a PhD group - that's "Project Half Done!" The hosts and leaders teach new skills and provide encouragement to help you start and finish your quilts.
Our classes are perfect for asking questions so you can get great results right from the beginning. The teacher will help you get started, choose a good project if you don't already have one, and offer you tips and support so everything comes together beautifully.
Moreover, our teachers regularly attend seminars and workshops themselves to remain updated with the latest quilting techniques. They often invite guest instructors, recognized in the quilting community, to share their expertise. Frequent potluck dinners and community events further solidify the bond among members, making every class feel like a gathering of close friends.
