The Farmer's Wife 1930's Sampler Quilt Class



Work on blocks in the Farmer's Wife, 30s book. While the blocks in the book are hand pieced, you will receive instructions in class for machine piecing the blocks in either 6" or 9" size.   She will have some techniques to make your life easier!

Needed for class:
1. The Farmer's Wife Sample Quilt, 1930's book by Laurie Aaron Hird.
2. Fabrics:  Requirements vary depending on the size of quilt you want to make.  Will discuss in class. For the first class, bring a variety of 6 - 8 fat quarters or scraps in the genre of your choice to get started.
3. Sewing machine in good working order with foot pedal and power cord.
4. Thread:  100% Cotton; 50 wt. in a neutral color.
5. Rulers:  6" X 24" Square-up Ruler.
Each class will focus on a different Studio 180 Ruler or Technique Sheet.
Rulers not needed for first class.
Can use comparable Creative Grids rulers if you prefer.
6. Rotary cutting supplies.
7. General sewing supplies.
