Paper Piecing for Beginners



Paper piecing, also known as foundation paper piecing, is a technique used in quilting to create precise and intricate quilt blocks. It’s especially helpful for achieving perfect points and maintaining accuracy. Learn this method of sewing fabric to paper. We will be working on log cabin blocks that can be turned into a wall hanging, pillow, or used in a larger project. You will love the precision you will achieve with the paper!

Supplies:

Add-A-Quarter Ruler (12" or 6")
Rotary cutter and mat
Small craft iron and ironing mat for ease of project progression)
Fabric glue pen
Sewing machine, general sewing foot/quilting walking foot/free motion foot
Thread (neutral color), seam ripper, needles, pins, bobbins, general notions
Light fabric 1/6 yard (see cutting instructions)
Dark fabric 1/4 yard (see cutting instructions)
If quilting your project, 24" or larger square of batting
